Professional & Academic Background
I want to start off by saying that I believe we are in an era where everyone has access to an incredible amount knowledge. The barrier of entry to any field is primarily limited by curiosity, determination and the ability to ask the right questions.
LLM’s feel like having unlimited access to a professor in any field. Rather than needing to read through a whole research paper, or watch an entire video to retrieve the tiny piece of information, I now need to type just a few sentences. The models do an incredible job of gauging where my understanding is lacking and giving a very deep to response to a narrow question. As someone who cares little for memorization but rather for the hows/whys/intution, this is incredibly valuable for me.
